    Kemess South tailings impoundment

    Tailings are being pumped from the mill to the large tailings impoundment area at the Kemess South mine site. Tailings are very fine grained and transported through the pipes in a watered, slurry form. The varying colours of the tailings depend on the components of the ore that was processed. 2007
