    Equity Silver Mine

The Equity Silver mine is located near Houston, BC. It operated from 1980 to 1994 and was at one time BC's largest silver producer. The site has significant acid mine drainage challenges and will require monitoring, maintenance and treatment for the foreseeable future. There is currently a large reclamation bond in place to cover the roughly $1 million in treatment (lime) and operating costs each year.
